So when the dust had settled and the votes had been counted it was all worth while. I was re-elected to serve a 4th term as county councillor. However this time it’s just for Histon & Impington (including King’s Meadow and Orchard Park). For my previous three terms it’s been as one member for the two member division of Cottenham, Histon & Impington.
It’s been an active campaign and I’ve been supported by a team of over 100. I thank them all.
By and large it’s been a straight and fair contest and I have avoided any negative campaigning. I got one very strong bit of advice on that score! So thanks to the other candidates for their participation and commiserations to them.
